Biography

Presenter & Historian

Active since 1996, providing over 1,670 presentations and appearances in 50 states: in public and private schools in all grades through universities, seniors and retirement communities, scouts, churches, historic, civic, social, convention, libraries, museums, patriotic, historical and corporate venues.  Continually visiting more significant Lincoln and Civil War historical sites.

Education:

Bachelor of Arts from University of California at Santa Barbara in 1975.  Continually expanding personal working knowledge of the life of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War.   Have read nearly 400 books on Lincoln, his life-time and the Civil War and another 200 on other time periods of American History.

Professional Associations:

Life Member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters (ALP) since 1997- a national organization; Charter Member of Victorian Society of Colorado; Chautauqua Speaker for Colorado Endowment for the Arts, Corresponding Member of Denver Westerners. 

Recognitions

Featured Lincoln speaker at several Lincoln Days, Juneteenth, Lincoln-Douglas, Forever Free, ALP and Independence Days Celebrations.  Interviewed on radio, featured in TV coverage and commercials, magazine cover photo, parades and several newspaper articles.  Won several historical character and costume contests.  Continues to develop new 1st person Lincoln presentations, now totaling over 90.

Family

Happily married since 1972, 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren.
